Zanielia Brown, MBA, SHRM-CP is a consultant and trainer with a wide variety of experience in Human Resources driving impactful people strategies and fostering inclusive and engaging work environments.
She has served as an HR thought partner and consultant, taking on leadership roles across various industries including non-profit labor unions, beauty retail and distribution, oil and gas, and currently in veterinary medicine as an HR Manager. This includes supporting multi-unit teams, both hybrid and remote, across several states in the Northeast, Southeast, and Southwest regions.
Throughout her career, Zanielia has led HR and Leadership teams through strategic initiatives and programs such as policy development, review, and implementation, team building workshops, culture assessments and action planning, and overall organizational development programs, fostering employee success and workplace belonging.
With a core focus on coaching, leadership development, training, and consultation, she guides HR teams and leaders at all levels to develop actionable solutions that cultivate healthy, inclusive, safe, and productive work environments. Zanielia brings a well-rounded and empathetic approach to her consultancy, ensuring that DEI principles are woven into the fabric of people strategies, and organizational culture.
Robin Nussbaum, PhD, SHRM-SCP, leads the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion (DEI) portfolio for SEIU 775 where she developed and implemented their first DEI Strategic Plan, including a number of initiatives to improve inclusion and equity at the organization.
Previously, Dr. Nussbaum served as the VP for DEI & Learning at the Girls Scouts of Western Washington and the Senior Inclusion & Equity Specialist at the Washington State Bar Association. In addition to their in-house work, Dr. Nussbaum has provided DEI and leadership consultation and training for organizations of all types and sizes.
Dr. Nussbaum earned their PhD in Social Psychology from the University of Hawaii at Manoa where she focused on bias, stigma, and discrimination and influence and persuasion. A long-time social justice advocate, she was a youth leader with the Seattle Young People’s Project, has staffed the LGBT center at several universities, served on the Leadership Team for the Non-Profit Anti-Racism Coalition (NPARC) in Seattle, and was the VP for Diversity & Inclusion for the Puget Sound Association of Legal Administrators (PSALA).
She has performed hundreds of trainings and consultations on diversity, inclusion, and equity. Robin has also served as a professor at several universities, including her alma mater, Vassar College. Robin brings over two decades of social justice/equity advocacy, training/facilitation experience, and leadership development to her work.
